Newborn

There is no love like this. From the moment you found out you'd be bringing this tiny soul earth-side, you've felt that love grow. When you finally meet your little one, I promise you'll just want to spend every moment you can staring at the perfect details of that sweet face. Babies sure don't keep, but these memories can bring you right back.

FAQ

What can we expect during our session?

My newborn sessions are lifestyle sessions, which means you'll be holding & snuggling your little one much of the time. I'll include the entire family, with a focus on your newest addition.

You can expect to spend the morning loving on your baby, breathing in all the newness & perfection of those tiny details that are so special. I'll guide you through your entire session, helping your family feel comfortable and allowing those natural, meaningful moments to happen.

What should we wear?

I love to style & am excited to help! I have beautiful dresses for mamas and wraps for your new baby. I use an amazing styling tool that allows me to show you specific ideas to coordinate your entire family.

You'll include your family's preferred style, colors, and sizes on your pre-session questionnaire. I use that info to put together outfit suggestions that include the links to purchase those specific items. You can shop directly from the email that I send to your inbox, or use those suggestions to guide your shopping.

When will we get our photos?

You'll receive an invitation to your online gallery within 3 weeks of your session. During busy season, that time may be extended to 4 weeks.

When do you schedule sessions?

Newborns are photographed between 4 and 12 days old. Dates will be planned tentatively based on due date and adjusted according to baby's arrival.

Studio sessions are scheduled between 10:30 in the morning & 1:30 in the afternoon to take advantage of the beautiful light streaming into the studio.

Outdoor sessions will be scheduled about an hour before sunset. That will change depending on the time of year. Summer sessions will be later in the day than spring & fall sessions.
